Viet-Man Le is a Project Assistant and PhD Candidate at the Institute of Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, Graz University of Technology, under the supervision of Alexander Felfernig. His research interests range from Knowledge-based Diagnosis and Explanations in AI to Configuration Systems, Software Product Lines, and Recommender Systems. In particular, his doctoral research develops solver-agnostic algorithms for conflict detection and diagnosis that scale to industrial constraint-based systems, with recent work extending toward Large Language Models for product line engineering. He is the author of the diagnosis algorithms FastDiagP (AAAI 2023), InformedQX (AAAI 2024), and DirectDebug (ICSE-NIER 2021), and contributes to flamapy, an open-source Python framework for the automated analysis of feature models. He chaired the 27th International Workshop on Configuration (ConfWS 2025) at ECAI 2025 in Bologna, served as Proceedings Chair of SPLC 2022, and is a program committee member for AAAI, ECAI, RecSys, and SPLC. He joined TU Graz in 2020 as a University Assistant, a position he held until February 2026. Before that, he spent more than 15 years at the University of Economics, Hue University, Vietnam, as a lecturer and, from 2014 to 2019, as Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Economic Information Systems. He received his MSc in Computer Science in 2011 from the Institute for Informatics in French-speaking areas (IFI), Vietnam, with double diplomas from the University of La Rochelle, France, and Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Vietnam, and completed his Master’s thesis on Self-Organizing Maps for image browsing at the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium, under the supervision of Michel Verleysen.
